Prepare the brief
- Audience and key message
- Brand assets and approved wording
- Where the video will be published
- Voice, captions, length and review needs
Plan the message and approval process
Identify one main action the viewer should take after watching: understand a service, follow a process or make an inquiry. Explain where the video will appear because a website, presentation and social channel can require different lengths and formats. Include existing brand guidance and the intended audience.
Confirm who approves the script and final output, which source material is available and whether captions are required. Discuss rights to supplied footage, music and images before production. Agree the deliverables, review stages and publishing responsibilities as part of the project scope.
Before we get started
Share available footage and any permissions required for people, music or imagery. Production scope, revisions and delivery formats are agreed before work.
